15-Year-Old Dies After Being Struck By Cars Near Derry, NH Carnival
DERRY, N.H. (CBS/AP) — A 15-year-old has died after being struck by two cars near the Derry carnival Friday night.
Police say an initial investigation reveals that the teens, ages 15 and 13 years old, were crossing Manchester Road around 9:10 p.m. Friday when they were hit by a car and an SUV.
Police say 13-year-old Lauren Gendreau of Derry and 15-year-old Sophia Christen of Manchester were taken to Parkland Medical Center. Sophia was later flown to UMass Medical Center in Worcester where she later died.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation
