2 Suspects Held In Violent Bedford, NH, Home Invasion

BEDFORD, N.H. (CBS/AP) — Police in Bedford, N.H., say two men suspected of carrying out a violent home invasion in November have been taken into custody.

The Nov. 24 invasion injured Dr. Eduardo Quesada and his wife, Sonia, who has since died.

At a news conference Friday, Chief John Bryfonski said Charles Normil of Lawrence, Mass., is being charged with attempted murder, assault, sexual assault and falsifying evidence. Authorities said Normil has been in custody in Massachusetts since December on another matter, and they will seek to have him brought to New Hampshire.

Police say Normil is also responsible for a violent home invasion in Methuen, Mass.

Authorities did not name the second suspect, but said he is in federal custody. They said the suspects had no connection to the victims, and called the crime a financially-motivated burglary.
