Control Tower At Lawrence Airport To Shut Down
LAWRENCE (CBS) - Spending cuts in Washington D.C. are now hitting air travel. The FAA announced Tuesday that 173 control towers will shut down.
One of those towers is the control center at Lawrence Airport. It will shut down on April 7th.
The towers at Norwood Airport and in Nashua, New Hampshire are also is at risk. As of Tuesday, workers at those airports had not heard from the FAA.
