Killer Granted Sex Change Wants State To Pay For Electrolysis

BOSTON (CBS) - A convicted killer who was granted a taxpayer-funded sex change may be costing the state even more money.

Robert Kosilek wants the state to pay for electrolysis treatment that he calls a medical necessity.

U.S. District Court Judge Mark Wolf says the state must hire an independent expert to determine whether the treatment is necessary.

Wolf is the same federal judge who ordered the state to pay for Kosilek's sex change.

The state is appealing that ruling.
