BOSTON (CBS) – A high-tech way to grab a cab? Now there’s an app for that.

The app works like a GPS by finding a customer’s location and then tracks the nearest participating cab driver.
The driver’s photo, name, cab number and phone number will show up on your screen.READ MORE: Acadia National Park In Maine On Track For A Record Year
And, if you happen to leave something in the cab after your ride, you’ll have a way to track down the driver.
The app is free to download, but there is a fee for each cab hailed.

The app is also used in New York, Chicago, London, Dublin and Toronto.
