CHARLESTOWN (CBS) – A woman ended up in the water after a passenger boat rear-ended another one late Wednesday morning at the Mystic Fuel Dock in Charlestown.

"One boat was coming in to get fuel at the dock and another boat was already there moored up. The boat that came in had some sort of issue where they came in and there was just no reverse thrust on the boat," Coast Guard Warrant Officer Rob Birdwell told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.

The collision knocked one woman off the moored boat and into the harbor.  She was quickly pulled out by other passengers.

"No major injuries, a couple of scrapes but that's about it,"  Birdwell said.

A mechanical malfunction appears to be the cause of the crash.

The boats were not traveling at high speeds.

"Could've been a lot worse, we were fortunate today," said Birdwell.
