61 Marijuana Plants Seized From Backyard Of Freetown Home

FREETOWN (CBS) – Police seized 61 marijuana plants that were growing in the backyard of a Freetown home on Tuesday morning.

James D. Vetter, 53, was watering the plants with a garden hose when a police officer arrived at the home. He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute.

Police went to Vetter's home on Kenneth Petty Drive after an officer working a detail spotted him driving and knew he had an outstanding warrant.

Many of the plants that were confiscated were six feet in height and could be seen through a chain link fence.
