MBTA Commuter Lots To Start Taking Credit Cards

BOSTON (CBS)—You won't need cash to pay for parking at five of the MBTA's biggest commuter lots.

By August 1st, credit and debit card readers will be installed at the Wonderland, Route 128, Alewife, Quincy-Adams and Braintree Stations.

Transportation Secretary Richard Davey says the option will allow the T to save more than $100,000 a year on payroll for garage personnel.
