I-Team Exposes Reckless Spending By Christy Mihos

BOSTON (CBS) - Meet Sila Star, a Miami-based female escort with a very pricey rate, $450 an hour or $3,900 for a twelve hour night. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are proudly accepted. According to documents obtained by the I-Team, she's just one of a handful of women former gubernatorial candidate Christy Mihos called up to hire and paid for sex.

There's Blake from Ft. Lauderdale, New York's Belinda and Boston based Talia. There are details of trysts across the country. It's all woven into a story of mistrust putting the spotlight on a man who's apparently reckless with money and addicted to sex. Christy's wife, Andrea, says millions of dollars are missing.

Mihos owed the state $70,000 for violating campaign finance laws back in 2010. According to an affidavit, Andrea Mihos gave him money to pay the fine but he spent some of it on prostitutes. The fine wasn't paid of until two years later.

Marjorie Kroeger is the founder of the Stonybrook Center which specializes in problematic sexual health. Kroeger says in general, "Our clients tend to be people who are successful, lots of energy. A big part of it has to do with entitlement, typically people gravitate to different parts of sexual experiences as a part of feeling validated. They feel powerful, validated, desired, it can be very intoxicating."

Mihos went through treatment at McLean Hospital in March but according to the records, he rented a Mercedes and blew $8,000 at a Newport Hotel in the weeks after his release. The money problems and sexual encounters allegedly fueled a domestic assault and now it's ending a marriage of 38 years.
