Gun Found In Greenland, NH Bought By Shooter's Girlfriend

GREENLAND, N.H. (CBS) - A gun found inside the home where a New Hampshire police chief was killed belonged to the shooter's girlfriend.

Investigators say 26-year-old Brittany Tibbetts bought the .357 caliber revolver at a Manchester gun show on January 16.

But they have not said if it was used during the deadly drug raid on April 12.

Twenty-nine-year-old Cullen Mutrie killed Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney and shot four other officers.

He then killed Tibbetts before turning the gun on himself.

Two of the officers critically wounded during the standoff - 33-year-old Detective Scott Kukesh of the Newmarket Police Department and 34-year-old Detective Jeremiah Murphy of the Rochester Police Department - were released from the hospital Wednesday.

The two other wounded officers were treated and released from the hospital shortly after the shooting.
