WALTHAM (CBS) – The family of a missing Boston College student is not giving up hope that he’ll be found safe sometime soon.

Franco Garcia’s family prayed at St. Jude Parish in Waltham on Sunday.

The Palm Sunday service included a prayer for his safe return.

Garcia was last seen on Feb. 22 leaving the Mary Ann’s bar in Cleveland Circle.

The family has hired a private investigator who said he’s still optimistic.

“We hope that he’s safe. We hope that if he sees something in the media, that he comes back, he comes forward and is not afraid to come home…Unfortunately if something happened that was out of his control, I’m sure that we’ll find him at some point,” said Justin Billard, the family’s private investigator.
