Lynn Couple Hoping Baby With Blood Disorder Gets Bone Marrow Transplant

LYNN (CBS) - A couple in Lynn hopes to raise awareness of a rare blood disorder.

Their granddaughter, Serenna Kadra, has the condition known as H1H, which causes white blood cells to build up in the organs and destroy other blood cells.

Serenna is just 11 weeks old, was born one month early, and needs a bone marrow transplant to survive.

There was a bone marrow drive Tuesday at Salem State University, and there's another one scheduled for next month.

You can learn more at the "Help Serenna" Facebook page.
