SALEM (CBS) – A burglary suspect is behind bars after a homeowner caught him in the act.
Police say Darren LeBrun was inside a home on Jefferson Ave. in the middle of the day when that homeowner showed up.READ MORE: Thousands Lose Power As Strong Winds Spread Damage Across Several Towns
The 45-year-old LeBrun took off running, but the victim wasn’t about to let him get away.
He managed to call 911 while he chased after LeBrun for several blocks.READ MORE: Coronavirus In Massachusetts: Today's Developments
That homeowner stayed on the phone with officers and was able to direct them to the area where he was chasing LeBrun.

The items he’s accused of stealing were all recovered.
