98-Year-Old Woman Killed In Stow Fire
STOW (CBS) - A 98-year-old woman was killed in a fire at a home in Stow on Wednesday.
The elderly woman lived with her son at the home on Whitman Avenue.
Neighbors said the woman lived at the home for years, and for the most part, never left.
Fire officials later admitted they just couldn't get to the victim in time.
WBZ-TV's Kate Merrill reports.
"They immediately began an active rescue, but unfortunately in this case, it didn't work out," said Chief Mike McLaughlin of the Stow Fire Department.
Firefighters don't know how the fire started yet.
