REVERE (CBS) — A five-year-old boy is in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital after he was found on a sidewalk on Revere Beach Parkway in Revere Friday.

At 4:40 p.m. on Friday, the District Attorney’s office announced  they had arrested the child’s mother’s boyfriend, 28-year-old Joseph Testa.

Testa will face charges of assault and battery on a child causing serious bodily injury, wantonly or recklessly permitting bodily injury to a child, and child endangerment.

He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Chelsea District Court.

State police and Revere police are investigating the incident, and say the boy had a visible head injury. The boy’s name is not being released.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Lana Jones reports.

Police say they were called at 10:29 a.m.

Officers on scene say they talked with a man who said he was the child’s babysitter. An apartment has been secured in the building of which the boy was found in front.

I hope this boy is okay. I REALLY hope the parents have nothing to do it it. I know the article didn’t say parents, it said a babysitter, but sadly it is usually one of the parents (or someone associated with the parents.) This boy AND his family are in my prayers.

“An apartment has been secured in the building of which the boy was found in front.”

Really? That’s not even English. “An apartment, in front of which the boy was found, has been secured.” or even “An apartment has been secured in front of which the boy was found.”

No matter, I hope the poor boy is OK!

You should know by now that when the media prints something they don’t proof read there article, they just type and print. That part of the time the school was telling them to do that they were sleeping. So all they heard was type and print.

I pray this little boy is going to be OK and is then placed in a SAFE, stable, and caring home. I’m sure there’s a history of this maggot being violent and I doubt this is the first time he’s raised his fist in that home! Someone doesn’t bash a little boy’s head in out of nowhere. This story makes me ill!
