A night show in the summer skies

Check the skies Friday night for the Perseid meteor shower.

Mostly cloudy skies dimmed the view Thursday night, but there will be a second chance Friday night when several planets align and the Perseid meteor shower lights up the night sky.

It should be visible by about 10pm and remain visible throughout the night. For the best view, move away from the lights of the city and face the northeast.
