Red Sox Can't Sweep O's
[photogallerylink id=31979 align=right]In their last home game before the All-Star break the Red Sox lost to the Baltimore Orioles 6-1 at Fenway Park on Sunday afternoon. O's starter Brian Matusz (3-9) picked up the win giving up just 2 hits over 7 scoreless innings with 8 K's. Kevin Youkilis (17) hit a solo home run in the 9th to avoid the shutout.
John Lackey (9-4) took the loss going 7.1 innings allowing 4 earned runs on 8 hits, BB, 7 K's.
The Red Sox hit the road to face the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday. Daisuke Matsuzaka takes the mound for Boston opposite Matt Garza. First pitch is at 7:10pm.
