Boston's Best Cheap And Free 'Happy Hour' Food

It's illegal for Massachusetts bars and restaurants to offer happy hour drink specials. So, many establishments do the next best thing by luring in patrons with intriguing food discounts. There's really not much better than getting half-priced grub... unless it's free. And there are a handful of Boston establishments that literally give away food during happy hour.

McCormick and Schmick's prides itself on maintaining a "stellar reputation for uncompromising value and quality" when it comes to the food. What better way to showcase that than with a half-pound cheeseburger and fries for $2.95? The menu offers a number of other inexpensive snacks, including $1 oysters every Tuesday. Happy hour runs from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
