Boston's Best Bars With Free Snacks

Bar owners never underestimate the staying power of snacks, at least when it comes to retaining a clientele that will offer up return business. After all, it's a proven fact that bars that offer food of some sort keep their customers happy in their seats...which means more drink orders and more revenue for the business. Whether it's something as simple as peanuts or popcorn to chips and salsa, Boston has it covered when it comes to satiating the snacking habits of its bar clientele.

Granted, this special over at Splash Ultra Lounge & Burger Bar does require a reservation in advance, yet every Thursday and Friday, this Waterfront spot offers up an entire free food buffet. The vittles here aren't only limited to cheeseburger sliders or onion rings, either, as Splash rolls out fresh salads, crab, steak tips and more for al fresco dining. Of course, given that this is a "burger bar" and lounge, those aforementioned sliders do indeed make an appearance on the buffet alongside Splash's own spicy buffalo wings. The sum of these parts equal one great way to relax and welcome the weekend.

Did someone say free pizza? Our House East did. This last call treat has done this divey joint well over the years, further cementing Our House East's reputation as a hot, drunk mess of a place, perfect for the non-discriminatory collegiate crowd which often packs it in from walls to walls.

Any regular here at Fenway Park's own beloved Bleacher Bar will tell you that this joint is all about the location. The Bleacher Bar offers up a bird's eye view of the venerable and legendary ball park which is second to none, and the food and drink is pretty good too. The Bleacher does indeed offer the typical bar snacks of peanuts, pretzels and the like for its patrons, but this is only one small part of an amalgamation of factors which make the Bleacher Bar a Boston standard for sports fans, foodies and average Joes and Janes alike. Either way, it's a well-deserved decision.
