Boston's Best 2015 Holiday Concerts

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by attending a concert filled with the music of the season? Each year, Boston and the surrounding area is home to some of the greatest musical performances, from musicals to concerts. People of all ages tend to enjoy these events, purchasing tickets in advance and counting down the days to the show. Check out some of the best holiday concerts heading to Boston this year below.

From Dec. 2 - 31, the Boston Pops, led by conductor Keith Lockhart, will be putting on nightly shows at Symphony Hall. There is also a kids' matinee performance that includes pictures with Santa after the show, and other special goodies. Tickets for these concerts are on sale now, and range in price from $31 to $139.

Check out this new musical production on Dec. 17, featuring music from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The tour will be making one stop in Boston on its holiday tour, and is suitable for kids ages 8 and older. The band is known to put on some incredible concerts, and many Boston locals are excited to add this event to their calendars this holiday season.

On Dec. 20, Kenny Rogers will be performing some of your favorite Christmas songs and some of his biggest hits at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, New Hampshire. He will likely be singing classic Christmas carols from "Jingle Bells" to "Joy To The World," in addition to some of his biggest hit singles including "Lady" and "Islands In The Stream."

On Saturday, Dec. 12, bring your whole family down to Faneuil Hall to watch the H+H chorus and H+H children's choral ensembles as they perform some of the best holiday classics. Many love to sing along as they enjoy the show, and that's certainly encouraged!

Mannheim Steamroller will be taking the stage at The Hanover Theatre on Dec. 6 for a night of holiday music and a lot of fun. A Christmas tradition for many families throughout the country, this show is undoubtedly a classic. If you celebrate Christmas or enjoy listening to holiday music each year, you are sure to recognize some of the magnificent sounds of Mannheim Steamroller.

To make the night even more special, the Worcester-based Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra will also be performing in this show, according to the theatre's website.
