Local fashion aficionados who cannot fly to Paris or Milan for fashion week may still get their share of haute couture during Boston Fashion Week. This week-long celebration of style takes place inside The Tent, along the Boston Fashion Trail and at other strategically placed spots throughout the city. Boston Fashion Week features much more than just the hottest creations from local designers. It is also an opportunity for local merchants to offer specials on hotel accommodations, dining, shopping and spa services.

Although there is no designated parking area for Boston Fashion Week, individual hotels, merchants, venues or restaurants may have limited parking available. Fees may apply.

The Tent at Boston Fashion Week

The 3,000-square-foot Tent at Boston Fashion Week will be set up between Mandarin Oriental Boston and the Shops at Prudential Center. Last year, more than 4,000 people passed through the tent as they enjoyed the opening-night gala and the runway shows held there. The tent has a maximum capacity of 250 people at once, so show up early. It will feature a sound system, interior lighting, a professional runway and plenty of seating for excited onlookers.

The Copley Catwalk

The Copley Catwalk will host runway shows in the Center Court at Copley Place. Enjoy two shows each evening from Oct. 1 through Oct. 3. High-end retailers from Copley place will be represented, as will designs from fashion schools in the Boston area.

The Mart at Boston Fashion Week

The Mart at Boston Fashion Week will take place over the course of three days from Oct. 3 through Oct. 6. The Mart will offer the opportunity for designers to meet with retail buyers. It is a terrific opportunity for designers and retail buyers alike to explore ways to bring local designs to the masses. Professional programming will also be available at the event. The Mart at Boston Fashion Week will be held within Revere Hotel at Boston Common.

The Boston Fashion Trail

The Boston Fashion Trail comprises shopping deals, discounts on dining and hotel accommodation packages all in the name of Boston Fashion Week. This year, Spreedia and Hey, Hey, Gorgeous are working in partnership with Boston Fashion Week to make the Trail a success. Merchants have the opportunity to participate on their own terms leading up to and lasting throughout Boston Fashion Week by offering deals to customers in honor of the 10-day event. Hours will vary according to the venue.
A Head Above Fashion

A Head Above Fashion is a series of high-profile events hosted by the Boston Globe. These post-show parties will take place at local venues throughout the City of Boston. Accessory designers, beauty professionals and hair stylists will be celebrated during these fashion events.
