Dear CBS Boston,I’m originally from Buffalo and the wings around here aren’t nearly as good as the ones we have back home.

Everyone who has ever moved here from Buffalo

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s clear up a common misconception. Fact: you CAN in fact find spectacular Buffalo Wings right here in Boston. So, if you don’t have 18 hours to spare (16 hour round trip drive plus refueling , bathroom breaks, and the time it takes to down a plate of wings), here are some of the best Buffalo Wings in Boston.

Newton, MA 02458

Important Note: Buff’s is Cash Only!!!

The gold standard here in Boston – ask anyone in the know about Buff’s Pub and they’ll tell you one thing: “great wings.” Despite a sometimes painful parking situation in Newton Corner, Buff’s is usually crowded and you can expect to wait for a table. But trust us, the wait is well worth the payoff. The mouthwatering wings at Buff’s are crispy, spicy, and seasoned to perfection.

Boston, MA 02210

Don’t let the enormous whiskey and beer selection distract you from your mission, devouring a plate of large, robust, and crispy wings soaked in a thick buffalo sauce. As far as the drink selection goes, you will have plenty to choose from when you’re looking for help washing down the slightly spicy burn that these wings will leave on your tongue.

If you like wings and you’re a fan of dive bars, Red Hat is heaven. Once you bite into one of these mouthwatering wings, realizing they are fried up to perfection and marinated in a exquisitely balanced buffalo sauce… well… let’s just say that these wings are out-of-this-world good (heavenly). And here’s the best part: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday between 5pm and 10pm are also known as 10-cent wing nights. Just ask Bostonian Steven Jeune (see: accompanying photo & caption), you’ll get much more than your money’s worth.

With four flavor-packed varieties of Buffalo wings, there’s an option for the entire spectrum of wing lovers. The only question is how hot you can handle. Sunset lets you decide the temperature – from the mild Honey-Stung wings all the way up to the explosive Atomic wings.
