Museum Of Fine Arts Acquires Surrealist Masterpiece From Remedios Varo
BOSTON (CBS) -- A new masterpiece will soon be on displace at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts. The MFA acquired a major work by Surrealist painter Remedios Varo.
The painting, Tailleur pour dames, is one of the artist's rare, large-scale works; most are in private collections. Varo made fewer than 200 oil paintings throughout her life.
The painting will go on public view on March 17th, highlighted in a gallery dedicated to works from Latin America.
