'We Need Your Help ASAP': Red Cross Says Blood Supply Lowest In Over 10 Years

BOSTON (CBS) – The Red Cross said blood supply is so low that donations are needed to assure people in need can continue to receive transfusions.

Red Cross of Massachusetts tweeted on Sunday that blood supply is the lowest it has been in more than 10 years.

"If more donors don't come forward to give blood, some patients requiring a transfusion may not receive it. We need your help ASAP," the Red Cross said.
