School Canceled In Ashburnham-Westminster Wednesday Due To Bus Driver Shortage

ASHBURNHAM (CBS) – School has been canceled in the Ashburnham-Westminster District on Wednesday because there aren't enough bus drivers.

The superintendent said an "extremely high" number of drivers will be out, meaning buses would run up to 90 minutes late in the morning and afternoon. An early dismissal was already planned on Wednesday.

The school district is working with the bus contractor and expects a return to normalcy after the Thanksgiving break.
