Man Dies After Being Trapped Under Skid-Steer Loader In Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH (CBS) -- A man in Dartmouth died Friday afternoon after being trapped under a skid-steer loader. He has been identified as 80-year-old Leslie Dewards.

First responders were called to a home on Pardon Hill Road by the victim's wife who found him unresponsive beneath the machine.

When they arrived, the man was already dead, police said.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office is now investigating.

Investigators believe Dewards was making repairs to the machine when it slid off a piece of wood that was under the right front block.

Foul play is not suspected.
