Duxbury Police Recover Money For Victim Scammed Out Of $8,000

DUXBURY (CBS) - A Duxbury resident nearly lost $8,000 to a scam artist.

Police said the resident sent money after they got a call from someone pretending to be their grandson. The person said he needed bail money.

After sending the cash, the victim felt like something was off. They tried to get UPS to stop the delivery, but UPS couldn't guarantee that, so the Duxbury Police stepped in and recovered the cash.
