CHELSEA (CBS) – A driver who hit and killed a toddler in Chelsea is facing charges for driving on a suspended license.

The crash happened Saturday on Bellingham Street. The driver, a 45-year-old woman, stayed at the scene.

According to police, the woman was driving a livery vehicle and had just picked up a passenger.

The child was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston but did not survive.
