Newton Approves New Limits On Where Gun Stores Can Open
NEWTON (CBS) - Newton has approved new limits on where gun stores can open.
The zoning change approved Wednesday night will keep gun stores from opening near schools, parks, playgrounds, libraries and hospitals.
The issue came to the City Council's attention in April when a sign was posted on the front of a store on Washington Street for Newton Firearms.
The zoning change will apply to Newton Firearms and force it to move to a different location.
