Bear Caught In Nashua, New Hampshire Traveled 50 Miles In 10 Days

NASHUA, N.H. (CBS) - It seems like a bear really wanted to go to New Hampshire.

The black bear was spotted in a busy part of downtown Nashua Thursday afternoon.

A biologist with the Fish and Game department and a conservation officer had to sedate it to get it safely out of the city.

But then they realized this was the same bear that had been tagged and released 10 days earlier - 50 miles away in Barre, Massachusetts.

The bear is now at a wildlife refuge in central New Hampshire.
