Moderna Expanding Manufacturing Plant And Lab In Norwood
NORWOOD (CBS) - Moderna is expanding its manufacturing plant and laboratory in Norwood.
The Cambridge-based company said Tuesday the space will more than double from approximately 300,000 square feet to 650,000 square feet as it ramps up production of its COVID-19 vaccine there.
They hope the expansion will help them develop better shelf-life stability for their vaccines and new ways to deliver them with prefilled syringes.
Moderna opened the Norwood site in July 2018.
