BOSTON (CBS) – A bottle of whiskey likely bottled 250 years ago is expected to fetch up to $40,000 during an upcoming auction.

They used a needle to extract a small sample that was sent off for testing.

The lab said the whiskey was likely bottled sometime between 1763 and 1803.

It will be auctioned off in late June and is expected to fetch between $20,000-$40,000.
