Water Main Break Shuts Down Route 9 In Both Directions In Brookline

BROOKLINE (CBS) – Route 9 in Brookline was shut down in both directions after a water main break flooded both sides of the road early Monday morning.

The road was closed to traffic between Hammond Pond Parkway and Hammond Street just after the water started flowing around 5 a.m.

Drivers were warned to avoid the area. Both sides were fully reopened to traffic by late morning.
