Assonet Man Killed In Head-On Crash On Route 1 In Wrentham

WRENTHAM (CBS) – A 50-year-old man from Assonet was killed in a head-on crash on Route 1 in Wrentham Tuesday night.

State Police said the man was driving a 2009 Toyota Tacoma when it crashed into a 2017 Nissan Rogue in the southbound lanes.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Rhode Island Hospital by MedFlight with serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by State Police.

The crash shut down parts of the road for several hours.
