NORWOOD (CBS) — A woman drove through a gate and an “aircraft operating area” adjacent to a runway at Norwood Memorial Airport, Norwood Police Chief William Brooks said. The 49-year-old ended up in a wetland area away from the runway Monday afternoon.

According to police, she was taken to a nearby hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Norwood Airport is working to repair the damaged gate.
