Firefighters Rescue Dog From Frigid Charles River In Wellesley

WELLESLEY (CBS) – Rescue crews jumped into action in Wellesley on Tuesday to save a dog that fell through the ice.

It happened on the Charles River near Elm Bank when the dog went in and was unable to crawl out of the water.

Several police and fire departments rushed to the scene and were able to help get Popeye out.

He was scared and cold, but Popeye is expected to be OK.
