Massachusetts Planning For Possible Take Home Version Of MCAS

BOSTON (CBS) – The state is considering a take-home version of the MCAS exam.

During a board meeting Tuesday, Education Commissioner Jeff Riley said a take-home format is being considered for the spring, while options are still being worked out for high school testing in January.

Some districts and teachers unions have called on the state to skip the exams this year, but Riley said testing will go on as planned.

Districts should not expect blanket waivers, Riley said.
