ATTLEBORO (CBS) – One woman is dead and another is injured after a stabbing in Attleboro. Police were called to 6 Leroy Street for a commotion just before 4:00 p.m. Friday.
When first responders arrived, they found a woman bleeding profusely. “It was chaotic at first when we first arrived on scene,” Attleboro Police Chief Kyle Heagney said.
The victim, later identified as 28-year-old Kimberly Duphily, of Attleboro, was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
A second woman at the home was also stabbed and remains hospitalized.
No arrests have been made but police say they are not searching for a suspect. Chief Heagney said everyone involved in the incident knew each other.
