Cape Cod Island Gets First Visitors Since 1711

CAPE COD (CBS) – An Island off of Cape Cod that has been privately owned for hundreds of years is now open to the public.

Sipson Island welcomed visitors for the first time on Saturday.

The island was purchased for conservation in June. Now, with some restrictions, guests are allowed to visit for the first time since it was sold in 1711.
