Hazmat Teams Called To Charlton For Early Morning Double Tractor-Trailer Car Crash

CHARLTON (CBS) -- Hazmat teams were called to a multi-car crash on the Mass Pike early Saturday morning. Around 3 a.m. in Charlton, two tractor-trailers and two cars crashed.

One of the trucks had 48,000 pounds of refrigerant onboard, which can be toxic, but the truck did not leak. The other truck took up three lanes of the roadway when it crashed.

Three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
