MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) — An oil truck crashed into the back of a house in Manchester, New Hampshire, Friday after a crash with another car, according to Manchester police.

The crash happened on Old Orchard Way around 1:15 p.m., police said. An initial investigation indicates that the oil truck and the car were heading in opposite directions on South Mammoth Road when, for an unknown reason, the two collided and the impact sent the truck into the back of a house.

Firefighters said the car was badly damaged and the driver was trapped inside. They were extricated and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck and a passenger were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, firefighters said.

There was no one at the house at the time of the crash, police said. There were no noticeable leaks in the truck, but the house sustained substantial damage.

The other car could be seen in rough condition down the street from the house. Police are investigating.
