Marshfield Trash Collectors Strike Ends As All Workers Quit

MARSHFIELD (CBS) -- The nearly three-month trash collectors strike is over, but not because there's a deal. All 24 union members have quit their jobs.

The group said that after months of mistreatment, they never wanted to work for the previous employer, Arizona-based Republic Services, again, even if they could agree on a new contract.

The union plans to find the workers jobs with Teamster pensions, as well as health and welfare benefits.
