At Least 11 Great White Sharks Seen In Cape Cod Bay

WELLFLEET (CBS) – Researchers have tagged their first two sharks of the season off Cape Cod.

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy said teams spotted at least 11 great white sharks Monday in Cape Cod Bay.

All sightings occurred on Billingsgate Shoal, between Dennis and Wellfleet.

State shark expert Greg Skomal tagged a 9-foot and 10-foot sharks.

A week ago, seven white sharks were spotted in the bay.
