CHELSEA (CBS) — The northbound side of Route 1 in Chelsea was temporarily shut down due to a jackknifed tractor-trailer Saturday morning.

According to Mass. State Police, the fuel tanks of the truck ruptured, forcing extensive cleanup efforts.

The travel lanes of Route 1 have since reopened but the Route 16 eastbound ramp to Route 1 remains closed, tweeted MassDOT Communications Director Jacquelyn Goddard.
