CHARLESTOWN (CBS) – Summer tour hours began Tuesday on the U.S.S. Constitution.

Old Ironsides will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

Guests can walk the ship at their own pace and ask active-duty Navy sailors questions.

Presentations on the ship’s history are given every half hour.

Visitors are asked to show a photo ID, but tours are free.

The U.S.S. Constitution Museum, also in the Charlestown Navy Yard, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
