Brockton Police Shoot Knife-Wielding Man
BROCKTON (CBS) – Brockton Police shot a man in his 20s who was wielding a knife on Friday.
No officers were injured. Police were called to Court Street around noon for a report of a man carrying a knife.
Two officers in two cars responded to the scene.
"The man advanced at both of the officers at one point and shots were fired," said Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz.
At least one officer opened fire. "My understanding is that only one did at this time, but I'm going to wait for the ballistics," Cruz said.
The suspect was shot several times. His condition was not known.
