Woman With Previous Hit-And-Run Charge Arrested For Fatally Dragging Man

BOSTON (CBS) – A Worcester woman is charged in connection with a deadly hit and run. Police say she dragged a man with her SUV early Christmas morning and this is not the first time she's been charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

Susan Dixon, 58, hid her face during her arraignment on several charges including motor vehicle homicide Tuesday afternoon in Worcester District Court.

Prosecutors allege Dixon was buying drugs at 5:30 Christmas morning at the BP Gas Station on Chandler Street in Worcester when she took off with a man stuck in her car.

He was pronounced dead shortly after at UMass Memorial. Court documents refer to the victim, 33-year-old Felix Bonilla, as a drug dealer.

Bonilla's family called him a lovable father of seven as they left court, upset at his death and furious bail was set for Dixon.

"How my brother is selling drugs? My brother came from Boston over here to spend time with his family," Melissa Bonilla, the victim's sister said. "We just want justice we want her out of the street. It's the third time that she committed this."

Prosecutors says police arrested Dixon Monday after recognizing her from two similar incidents, one in 2015 and another in 2016 where she was arrested for injuring people with her car as she drove away.

Court documents show she pleaded guilty to the 2016 incident involving a woman being dragged from the same gas station connected to this week's incident.

Dixon was ordered held on $35,000 cash bail.
