CHELSEA (CBS) – At least two suspects are being sought after a shooting in Chelsea Tuesday night. Police say a man and a woman were shot on Congress Avenue.

The man is in critical condition and the woman’s injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Witnesses tell WBZ they heard about five gunshots, closely followed by police sirens just moments later.

It’s unclear how the suspects and victims are connected, if at all. One witness described those really tense moments as that second victim was being treated.

“I saw her when they took her to the ambulance,” said Jonathan Herrera. “She was inside the ambulance screaming. I saw her face and it made me feel pretty bad. It’s Chelsea. It’s been like that for years. For a moment it wasn’t that bad, now it’s starting to get bad again.”

Police say a gun was recovered in the area.
