Powerball Jackpot Rises To $700 Million
BRAINTREE (CBS) – The Powerball jackpot is reaching record territory ahead of Wednesday night's drawing.
The jackpot is now up to $700 million, lottery officials say. That's the highest it's been since the $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot from January 2016.
A $700 million prize would be the second-largest ever in North America.
The cash option would net the winner $443.3 million.
Tickets can be bought up until 9:50 p.m. Wednesday night for $2 each.
