Body Recovered Near Deer Island

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Police pulled a body from the Boston Harbor near Deer Island Thursday.

The body was first spotted in the water by the crew of a fishing boat, who called the Coast Guard.

Suffolk County District Attorney spokesman Jake Wark says the identity of the body is hard to determine.

"The body is believed to be that of an adult but was in a state of decomposition such that age, gender, and ethnicity are not immediately apparent," Wark said.

There are no other details at this time.
